Most ordinary cosmetic brands outsource their manufacture and even their product development to third-parties. This means they are able to focus on what we call the ‘Tell’ part ie. Marketing. This is great while small, but some companies never build capabilities even when they scale. This is a huge disadvantage and something which gives Pangaea a real edge. We are able to truly take a well-thought-through concept from raw materials (we even develop and patent raw materials!) all the way to the retailer shelf. We have found that by dedicating ourselves to a full capabilities model,  we are able to rapidly develop products without ever compromising on the finest

quality. With Pangaea you always get the right texture, fragrance & results. Our chemists are passionate about their work and about becoming luminaries in their field. We thus out-compete the major houses for R&D talent. Every aspiring chemist knows we are a stickler for producing the very best. There is a downside of course to all this perfectionism – and that is we are unlikely to develop any mass-market brands. Even if we wanted to, we are unable culturally to cut corners. Its just not in our blood. So you will always find Pangaea in the premium end of any category – even in traditional retail.

Step One


Before we dive into lab work, the first step for any Pangaea product is comprehensive market research. We scour the marketplace and determine what exactly the customer is looking for. Sounds obvious but you’d be amazed how often this stage is ignored.

Step Two


At Pangaea, we develop every single product from scratch. We don’t buy off the shelf stock formulations. Even in rare cases where we work with a specialist partner to produce the final article, we always do the development and check every single detail. We scour the Earth to find the right ingredients and proceed to a full ‘nature-biased’ chemistry workup.

Step Three


Perhaps because we were born in a tiny lab at the back of a pharmacy, we approach manufacture with a clinical precision that is unusual for the industry. We work to an ‘ultra-clean’ standard and frankly our process is way over the top for cosmetics. Quality is not just a word for us. It’s an obsession and we probably need help!!

Step Four


We have an incredible marketing team who produce all the social media, PR, advertising & packaging content. We run frequent in-store promotions and all sorts of mechandising mechanics. But we also get out into the field and face-to-face train business partners from around the world. And win awards!!!
